To kick-off
the new DISCIPLE-SHIP rotation "Breakfast on the Beach" children in grades
2-5 enjoyed a breakfast in the Fellowship Hall. A beach atmosphere was
created with ocean wave sounds, a slide of the Sea of Tiberius, fish net
and sea shell decorations. The children heard the story of Jesus'
appearance to the disciples and their breakfast together as recorded in
John 21: 1-15. They made story bags to help them remember the major parts
of the story and door hangers labeled "Feed My Sheep" to hang on a door at
home to help them remember to bring non-perishable food items for Rowan
Helping Ministry.
Beginning
April 6 they will rotate through their usual workshops on the
DISCIPLE-SHIP--Art in the Creator's Gallery, Drama in the Crow's Nest,
Movie in the Seaside Cinema, and Games in the Game Plank. The next
rotation will begin May 4 and is entitled "Pentecost."
